Prof. Ramkrishna More Arts, Commerce and Science College is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity, fairness, and transparency in its evaluation processes. The Board of Examination Committee plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and systematic conduct of all internal and external examinations, thereby upholding the academic credibility of the institution.
The Examination Committee is entrusted with developing policies, overseeing the planning and execution of assessments, addressing grievances, and promoting ethical examination practices among students and faculty.
Objectives of the Examination Committee
- To ensure the fair, efficient, and transparent conduct of examinations in accordance with university and institutional guidelines.
- To formulate and implement examination policies that align with academic objectives and regulatory frameworks.
- To maintain academic integrity and discipline throughout all phases of the examination process.
- To facilitate accurate, timely, and secure assessment and result declaration procedures.
Functions and Responsibilities
1. Planning and Organization
- Developing Examination Policies: Establishes rules and procedures for conducting examinations, covering aspects like eligibility, question paper setting, invigilation norms, and evaluation criteria.
- Creating Timetables: Prepares and circulates examination schedules for internal and university assessments in alignment with the academic calendar.
- Allocating Resources: Manages resources such as examination halls, stationery, answer booklets, and staffing requirements for invigilation and supervision.
2. Conduct of Examinations
- Supervising Examinations: Ensures examinations are conducted smoothly, fairly, and securely, with strict adherence to institutional and university regulations.
- Maintaining Discipline: Implements measures to prevent unfair practices, cheating, or disruption during the examination process.
- Managing Evaluation: Oversees the systematic and unbiased evaluation of answer scripts, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely completion.
3. Post-Examination Procedures
- Publishing Results: Ensures prompt and accurate announcement of results, including internal assessment marks and university exam results.
- Maintaining Records: Keeps detailed and confidential records of question papers, student attendance, answer sheets, results, and examiner reports.
- Addressing Grievances: Handles examination-related complaints from students or staff and ensures timely resolution.
- Organizing Workshops: Conducts awareness sessions, workshops, and training for faculty and staff to enhance transparency.
4. Ensuring Academic Integrity
- Preventing Malpractices: Implements strict measures to detect and deter academic misconduct, including unfair means or impersonation.
- Promoting Ethical Practices: Encourages academic honesty and a culture of integrity in all assessments.
